PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Johnson Consulting was engaged to provide a market and financial analysis for the development of a new on-campus football stadium for Eastern Washington University (EWU). As the project advanced, our initial report was used by design and finance team members and the University Foundation as a basis of information. In addition to analyzing the feasibility of a new football stadium, we assessed and recommended the appropriate mix of retail and commercial space to be included in the ‘Gateway’ project. Johnson Consulting undertook the following tasks:
Provided a ten-year projection of revenues, expenses, debt service and funds available for other purposes
Identified and evaluated the competitive environment for the proposed stadium
Analyzed local retail and office market
Analyzed demand and market support patterns within the competitive area for the regional stadium marketplace
Communicated the transaction structure, in order to isolate demand, revenue and expense factors pertinent to the Stadium project specifically
Reviewed and discussed current attendance, pricing and season ticket inventory
Reviewed all architecture work done to date
