PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Johnson Consulting was engaged to provide a market and financial analysis for the development of a new on-campus Indoor Practice and Human Performance Facility for South Dakota State University (SDSU). Our report was used by design and finance team members and University administration as a basis of information.
The study included the following tasks:
Reviewed all architecture work done to date, including master plan and capital costs
Communicated the transaction structure, in order to isolate demand, revenue and expense factors pertinent to the indoor practice facility
Analyzed demand and market support patterns within the competitive area for the regional indoor marketplace
Identified and evaluated the competitive environment for the proposed indoor facility. Specifically, should SDSU decide to allow for other events within the facility besides university athletics?
Developed a ten-year projection of revenues, expenses, debt service and funds for the public/private partnership with a local orthopedic firm.
